Job Description

Salary: USD $320,000.00/Yr.

Description and Responsibilities:
Are you ready to lead with purpose and drive transformative change in human services? Open Sky is seeking an experienced and innovative clinical leader to join our leadership team as the Medical Director and make a profound impact on the clinical care we provide to the individuals and families we serve.

The Medical Director leads the design and implementation of all medical practices within the organization, including clinical and administrative oversight, and strategic leadership for the delivery of medical and psychiatric services. They ensure that clinical care meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and effectiveness while aligning with the organization’s mission, values, and regulatory requirements. The Medical Director also provides key leadership in quality and risk management and works closely with the Chief Program Officer and other agency leaders to strategize on agency-wide quality and risk management.

Other Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary liaison between the executive team and medical staff.
Provide direct clinical services, including diagnostic evaluations, medication management, and consultation as needed.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards (e.g., CARF, DEA, DPH).
Support the supervision of Open Sky’s Director of Nursing Practice.
Consult with and provide feedback to leadership at the Bridge Training Institute on trainings and curriculum building.
Recruit, hire, supervise, and evaluate physicians and other clinical staff to meet service delivery requirements.
Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, EOHHS agencies, medical schools, healthcare providers, etc. to foster partnerships and enhance service delivery.
Qualifications:
MD or DO from an accredited medical school with current, valid, and unrestricted DEA certificate.
Board-certified in Psychiatry, with five (5) years of clinical and administrative experience.
Current, valid, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Valid Drivers license and acceptable driving history.
